Modo Renders
I remember just a few years ago when it would take hours to render a photoreal project like this in Maya/MR. Both of these renders were in the neighborhood of 30 secs. Good stuff.

Back again…
Good news abounds. My development conundrum has been resolved. Now I design layouts and shiny buttons. Well, not right now, I’m typing. But after this. Also before.
…I have been reading surrealist comics, and this has apparently distorted my ability to write semi-coherently.
Clouds do sometimes bring acid rain. Would not then the flowers bloom in caustic colors?

Highly worth the visit, great artwork, great surrealism.
Good day to you, netizens!
P.S. Shiny button doodles are fun

Sunset…
Had some incredible sunsets last night, just had to run out and shoot…
Funny story, actually. I’m down there (on the pier that is) shooting, and we have this incredible gorgeous sunset, and there is a group of tourists on a segway tour milling about oohing and aahing at the sunset, when all of a sudden, from the East, there is a loud “WHUMP”, and fireworks begin to bloom in the sky, with the last remains of the gorgeous sunset fading in the West. All the segway touristas pulled their little segways up just as close to the east curb as they could to oogle this phenomenon. One small guy got so excited, he jumped off his segway, and ran to the railing, his eyes as wide as dinner plates. He turned to the tour guide and speaking in tones of awe he asked “…is it always like this here???”
To which the tourguide responded “…uhh….yes.” (fun fact: he was lying.) Poor little guy was so enthralled, I think he actually went mute.
What a lovely night.
